Those aren't simply numbers to us. Every view represents another opportunity for someone to hear the words aortic disease, learn a warning sign, understand their diagnosis, ask a question, share information with their family—or simply discover that they aren't alone.
And we worked 𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗗 to make September count!

But education was only the beginning.
❤️We turned Facebook Profile Pics into a sea of red awareness for the month!
🎥 We premiered our 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 “𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗜𝘀 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲” Community Hope Campaign, featuring YOU—and a few adorable four-legged members of our community too! 🐾❤️
🎤 We hosted 𝟲 𝗤&𝗔 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗛𝗧𝗩, bringing conversations with medical professionals directly to patients and families.
❤️ We provided 𝟳 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, creating spaces where people could connect with others who truly understand.
🔬 We welcomed 𝗔𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗱𝗸𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲, helping turn complicated research into information our community can understand.
🩺 We welcomed 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗯𝗮𝗸𝗮, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗔𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁'𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, taking patients behind the operating-room doors to better understand what happens during aortic surgery.
❤️ We continued sharing educational information through our collaboration with 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲-𝗨𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.
⚽ We were selected as the 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, raising funds through Full Tide Memberships.
📰 After being featured in 𝗥𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗲, we took over their social media for a Tuesday—bringing aortic disease awareness to an entirely new audience.
📻 And you may have even heard us on the 𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗢! Our awareness campaign reminding people of 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗞 𝗔𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔 𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆—𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵.
But we didn't just stay behind our computers…

🩺 At the Hackensack Symposium, Community Liaison Bonit Sharma participated as a guest speaker while Bereavement Support Group Moderator Darlene Hepler, MSN/ED, RN joined him in connecting with medical professionals, patients and families.
🏃 We attended the Run for Aortic Health, cheering on longtime supporter Carmen David during her 10th 5K!
🏥 At St. Luke's Baylor Medical Center, we spent time with loved ones whose family members were actively undergoing surgery and interviewed Dr. Lauren Barron and Dr. Joseph Coselli—plus one more LEGEND we're keeping secret until October! 😉🎥
🎬 We debuted Part 1 of Carin Andersen's documentary—and Part 2 is coming soon!
🎁 And because September should also be FUN, we gave away 90 PRIZES! From Lauren's Hope Medical ID gift certificates to decals, magnets, bracelets and more.
🤝 For the second year, we also joined forces with organizations throughout North America—including Think Aorta US, the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health, GADA, Think Aorta Canada, the Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation Canada, The Marfan Foundation and Rock from the Heart—and helped showcase #STAT.
Because awareness works best when we work TOGETHER.
