We are excited to welcome Victor Akinyemi as our new Social Media Administrator | Medical! 🎉

One of the things we are especially excited about is seeing more and more medical students choosing to get involved with Aortic Hope.

"Hi! My name is Victor Akinyemi. I am a second-year medical student at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Ever since I was a kid, I have been fascinated with the heart and its ability to keep us alive every second of the day. This fascination has grown into a passion for cardiothoracic surgery, which I hope to pursue in the future.

My interest in volunteering with Aortic Hope stems from my desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families affected by aortic disease. I recognize that individuals and families affected by aortic disease often face significant uncertainty, difficult medical decisions, and the need for ongoing education and emotional support.

Through Aortic Hope, I hope to raise awareness about aortic disease, support patients and their families, and learn directly from the experiences of survivors.

I am incredibly excited to join this community and contribute to an organization dedicated toproviding hope, education, and support to those navigating aortic disease!"
