Emmanuel has been taking the internet by storm with his compassionate, educational, and insightful posts about 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁. "Dr. Emmanuel Mbaka is a cardiac perfusionist from Kenya who is passionate about patient education, cardiovascular awareness, and improving understanding of heart and aortic surgery. As a perfusionist, he is part of the multidisciplinary team that operates the heart-lung machine during complex cardiac and aortic procedures, helping sustain patients while surgeons repair some of the most challenging cardiovascular conditions.

Recognizing that many patients and families leave the hospital with unanswered questions and lingering fears, Emmanuel founded The African Perfusionist, an educational platform dedicated to making complex cardiovascular topics easy to understand. Through storytelling, patient-centered education, and insights from the operating room, he bridges the gap between medicine and the people whose lives are changed by heart surgery.

His work has reached a global audience, connecting with patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and aspiring perfusionists through educational content that combines clinical knowledge with compassion and hope.

As a contributor to Aortic Hope, Emmanuel is committed to helping individuals and families affected by aortic disease better understand what happens before, during, and after aortic surgery. His goal is to empower patients with knowledge, reduce fear through education, and remind every survivor that they are never alone on their journey."
