Led by the incredible Carmen David, 𝗥𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 is more than just an event — it’s a mission driven by courage, resilience, and purpose. After surviving an aortic dissection in May 2015, just 22 hours after the birth of her second daughter, Carmen turned her experience into a passionate movement dedicated to raising awareness and funding for aortic disease research.

Through her leadership and the growing support of the Run for Aortic Health community, funds are raised and specifically earmarked for research to be sent to The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health (JRF) Research Program (JRRP) and other critical studies and initiatives focused on Aortic Aneurysm and Aortic Dissection. This life-saving work helps pave the way for aortic disease to be better understood, diagnosed, and managed — bringing hope to countless patients and families around the world.

Beyond funding research, this event also serves as a powerful educational platform — spreading awareness about the risk factors and symptoms of aortic disease in order to save lives from premature death. Knowledge truly is power, and Carmen’s dedication ensures that more people are empowered to recognize the signs early and seek help in time.
