Welcome Scott Paulsen

carinandersen

🎉We are happy to announce the addition of Scott Paulsen to the Aortic Hope Team.

👉Scott is much more than just a community member and survivor as you will read below! He will be focusing his time as our Community Liaison and assist members with a variety of different aspects as newcomers in the Aortic Disease world.

"Scott and his wife Rosie, are the owners of S&R Services, an insurance brokerage firm based in Zephyrhills, Florida. Their area of expertise is assisting individuals in understanding and selecting the most suitable Medicare Coverage options.

During the month of December, Scott undergoes a remarkable transformation as he assumes the role of Santa Claus, spreading the joy of the holiday season to both children and adults.

On the evening of October 1, 2023, Scott’s life took an unexpected turn. He visited the emergency room due to mild discomfort in his chest. To his surprise, he was diagnosed with a Type A Aortic Dissection. Within hours of receiving this life-threatening diagnosis, he was undergoing preparation for open-heart surgery.

Scott emphasizes the utmost importance of being attuned to one’s body and recognizing the warning signs of heart disease or any condition that demands immediate medical attention. He stresses that it is always better to err on the side of caution and seek medical assistance promptly.

This experience prompted Scott to raise awareness about the unique nature of each individual’s health. He aims to collaborate with Aortic Hope to convey the message that even mild discomfort in the chest can be as potentially life-threatening as the excruciating pain experienced by others. He also wants to ensure that everyone whose life is affected by aortic disease knows that they are not alone and that there are many people who are going through the same thing and care."

❤️Please welcome Scott.
