Today is Therapeutic Thursday at Aortic Hope.


🤯 Pumphead is a real struggle for some community members. However, did you know that forgetfulness and anxiety can also be caused by PTSD and anxiety from trauma.


🧠 According to HealthNews, in an article written by Jayna Nickert, MBA, MFT called EMDR Psychotherapy: Is It the Quickest Way to Treat PTSD and Anxiety?, EMDR is defined as: "Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is a form of talk therapy that research has shown to be highly effective at treating trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It can also be used to treat anxiety. The length of therapy, or number of sessions, needed to treat the trauma will vary from one person to the next, depending on a few factors."
