This heat wave is no joke so while you are doing everything you can to motivate yourself to continue safely moving your body (based upon what your physician has recommended), there are many foods that can help you stay hydrated in the process.


Many fruits and vegetables are high in water content and can help keep you hydrated on hot days, including:


🍉Melons: Cantaloupe and watermelon contain over 90% water and can be refreshing in sweet or savory dishes


🥬Leafy greens: Iceberg lettuce and other leafy greens contain 90% or more water


🥒Cucumbers: Contain 96% water and are also high in vitamin C and potassium


💦Zucchini and summer squash: Contain 94% water and can be used as a hydrating pasta substitute


💧Asparagus: Contains 92% water and is high in potassium
