"Hi everyone! My name is Sathya Pallapothula, and I am a Biology major at the University of Houston in their Honors Med program (BS/MD). I have always been fascinated with the heart as words like "atherosclerosis" and "hypertension" have been common medical vocabulary for me due to my family's history with these diseases. However, when I became a CNA, I truly realized how devastating and profound the impacts of heart disease and, in particular, aortic diseases can have on one's life and their family's. As a result, I am inspired by Aortic Hope's mission of trying to help families and survivors by being an unwavering pillar of trusted information and nurturing support during their recovery process."
