"Hi everyone, I'm so excited to be able to volunteer my time and was given the  wonderful opportunity to join Aortic Hope and the Aortic Hope Dream team Canadian edition... I remember back when I dissected in 2015 I was so lost, there wasn't many groups and the ones that were around we not around me. I been asked many times to help out in some of the groups but it was never the time or place yet for me. As I watched groups grow and expand I was so excited to have one close to home. Thank you Carin Andersen and your team.

So... A bit about me. I'm originally an Ontario gal. Born in Ottawa then moved to a little town call Schreiber at the top of Lake Superior 2 hours east of Thunder Bay. This is where I spent my childhood. Then at some point I landed out in Alberta. I've be out here ever since.

My hubby and I have been together 22 years and have 1 child together and a fur baby. I have 3 children and 3 bonus children who all have successfully made it to adult hood.

In 2015 I spent 6 weeks in ICU. I dissected from my left subclavian to past both iliacs. I have a Thoracoadominal aneurysm that developed from my dissection then in 2018 both my iliacs became aneurysmal. My dissection triggered a domino effect in me and created so many other issues from. Hypertension, hypothyroidism, renal faliure, adrenal issues, kidney faliure, fibromyalgia, PTSD, vasculitise HEDS."

♥️ Please welcome Rebecca.
