Today for Feel Good Friday we need some advice from all of the survivors!
👉 Please tell us something that your caregivers did for you that really aided in the recovery and management of your disease.
❤️ We are looking for tips and best practices that could be used as a tool to help others move forward and in need of support.
This is Jess McCracken and I know that I was so lucky to have a husband that always did an equal share around the house before my Type A Aortic Dissection. He took on all chores. I was also grateful for my husband, parents and sister going with me to every appointment for the first year or more in order to listen to instructions and updates. As you know, Pumphead is real and I still have a hard time remembering what doctors say.
👉 Another great tip was having a meal train set up for me after my open heart surgery, having a hot meal delivered every night for my family. It was so appreciated and saved a lot of stress for my husband and kids (aged 9 and 13 at the time).
🤔 What are your tips, tricks and best practices for caregivers to do for survivors?
