Sonya Davis McLendon dissected March 5, 2013 and was airlifted to Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston TX under the care of Dr. Safi. with a Type B dissection. After three years of medical management, three surgeries were necessary to continue this battle between the dissection and thoracic aortic aneurysm. Dr. Estrerra and Dr. Safi were literal lifesavers, and the reason Ms. Davis is here to share her story.
