Today is Movement for Movement Monday!
👉 As we all know, doing nothing is doing something however, many of us need some support to simply get moving (whatever that may be for you).
👉 Following your doctor's orders, do whatever he/she has cleared you to do. While recovering from open heart surgery, you may find it a little difficult to "move" and that's normal.
👉 You may find yourself asking what movements can I do post surgery or while in watch and wait?
❤️ Well, in order to help answer one of those questions, Dr. Siddharth Prakash from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston is presently working on a randomized clinical trial studying the mental and physical benefits of exercise for people who survived an Aortic Dissection.
👉 If you would like to know more about participating in this exercise study (at 1 of 3 locations), check out the link below:
Before you begin any exercise program or participate in a research study, have a conversation with your personal physician.
