The article attached below touches upon a taboo subject that is gaining attention daily. In the Cato Institute, an article written by Jeffrey Singer and Josh Bloom titled, "Stop Making Surgeons Undertreat Postoperative Pain" goes into detail about how surgeons are constantly finding themselves under pressure and "repeatedly encouraged to use IV acetaminophen—which is simply Tylenol—to treat postoperative pain in order to spare their patients the risk for addiction".
The issue of course, IV acetaminophen is often simply not enough.
