It's Therapeutic Thursday at Aortic Hope.
šToday is about Resolutions and how to make them actually work for you.
š¤Every year, millions of people make resolutions to improve their lives, but only a few of them actually stick to them. Why is that? Well, there are many reasons, but one of them is that resolutions are often too vague, unrealistic, or boring. So how can you make resolutions that work for you? Here are some tips:
- šš² šš½š²š°š¶š³š¶š°.Instead of saying "I want to lose weight", say "I want to lose 10 pounds by March".
- šš² šæš²š®š¹š¶ššš¶š°.. Don't set goals that are impossible to achieve, or that will make you miserable. Instead of saying "I will never eat chocolate again", say "I will limit myself to one piece of chocolate per week".
- šš² š³šš». Choose resolutions that are enjoyable, or that have a reward at the end. Instead of saying "I will exercise more", say "I will join a dance class" or "I will go on a hiking trip".
There is no reason to create stress while trying to achieve a goal. š
