It's Wisdom Wednesday!

Today is Wisdom Wednesday at Aortic Hope.

The term "Chronic Disease" is defined in Wikipedia as:

"A chronic condition is a human health condition or disease that is persistent or otherwise long-lasting in its effects or a disease that comes with time. The term chronic is often applied when the course of the disease lasts for more than three months."

From the moment you are diagnosed with having Aortic Disease, you have stepped into a world of follow-up appointments, stress of not trying to be stressed, figuring out what your "new norm" will be and more.

As noted in CreakyJoints.org, the article titled 22 Things To Try When You Feel Overwhelmed By Chronic Illness, published by Charlotte Hilton Andersen states:

"Even after you’ve accepted your diagnosis, the uncertainty about your future and the unpredictability of day-to-day life is a lot to deal with.".

Check out this article for the 22 Things to try to help you with the overwhelming feelings of having a chronic condition.
